Malabon Congress bet not withdrawing from race

MANILA, Philippines - A congressional candidate for the lone district of Malabon City denied yesterday reports that he was withdrawing from the congressional race in the city.

Jayjay Yambao, a candidate for the breakaway Kampi faction in the city said his supporters are alarmed over the disinformation campaign being waged against him.

“ I am not withdrawing from the race, I am leading in surveys particularly in depressed areas in the city,” he said in a statement.

Yambao is running against Jaye Lacson-Noel, Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC); Ricky Sandoval Lakas; and Arnold Vicencio of the Partido ng Masang Pilipino (PMP).
