2 Philpost workers 'go postal'

MANILA, Philippines - Two Philippine Postal Corp. security personnel were arrested yesterday for shooting at each other in the Philpost compound, reportedly over an old grudge.

Ermita police station commander Superintendent Romulo Sapitula said neither inspection service director Oscar Lazo nor his subordinate, Ronnie Faulve, was hurt during the alleged shootout, which occurred just before noon. The two men were charged with “alarm and scandal.”

Police recovered Faulve’s .9mm pistol, but failed to find Lazo’s gun. Faulve was previously involved in a similar incident, according to police.      – Sandy Araneta
