Fire guts Makati building

MANILA, Philippines – A fire destroyed a commercial building in Legaspi Village, Makati City yesterday morning.

Senior Fire Officer 2 Reynaldo Gonzales said the fire started at the ninth floor of the Felisa building, located at the corner of Rodriguez and Dela Rosa streets, at around 9:06 a.m.

The fire was put out by around 20 firetrucks at around 12:28 p.m. No one was reported injured in the incident.

Arson investigators said they are conducting a follow-up investigation to determine the cause of the blaze and the worth of property damaged in the fire. – Rhodina Villanueva
