Osang goes wild over lost bet

Actress Rosanna Roces went wild Thursday night after she found out that a teller at an off-track betting station did not register her bet for a horse race, which could have won her P20,000.

Roces, Jennifer Molina in real life, was caught on camera by a GMA-7 news crew walking briskly towards the betting station to confront teller Ledy Labay.

The visibly angry actress pointed a finger at the news crew, shouted for them to stop filming, then tried to assault the cameraman.

Senior Superintendent Franklin Mabanag, chief of the Quezon City Police District criminal investigation division, said as of press time Labay and the members of the news crew have yet to file a formal complaint with his office.

Labay refused to register Roces’ bet because the actress merely called up a bettor and asked him to place her bet, without first paying for it. She said what could have irked Roces was that the actress placed a winning bet.  – Perseus Echeminada
