Caloocan revamps gender council

The Caloocan City government, in an effort to empower women in development and nation building, reorganized yesterday the city’s Gender and Development Council (GADC).

Mayor Enrico Echiverri said there is a need to reorganize the GADC due to the retirement and resignation of some of the council members.

Under Executive Order 05-08, Echiverri will serve as GADC’s honorary chairman with Councilor Nora Nubla as chairperson; City Administrator Russel Ramirez as vice chairman; and City Civil Registrar Lucena Flores as vice chairwoman. – Pete Laude
