Kris shortens vacation, back in Manila for Ninoy rites

Television personality Kris Aquino arrived yesterday morning at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) from Los Angeles, cutting short a "soul-searching" vacation to commemorate the death anniversary of her father.

Aquino disembarked from the Philippine Airlines plane assisted by two gentlemen – one from the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) and the other reportedly the chief security of Parañaque Mayor Joey Marquez.

She flew to the US last week to escape the intrigues surrounding her controversial affair with Marquez. The country commemorates today the 19th death anniversary of former Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino.

Aquino said she needed to relax and find peace of mind in the US.

She pointed out that while attending Mass in a church in Los Angeles last Sunday, she saw the members of the Backstreet Boys and other many known entertainers.

But when asked about her decision on Joey Marquez, she just said: "I made a decision while I was there, but that decision might change."

Aquino brought home five pieces of luggage, "most of them pasalubong to my son Joshua, and of course my friends."

Aquino also said she shortened her vacation to shoot episodes of the TV game show Game Ka Na Ba?, which she hosts.

When asked to talk about her relationship with the mayor, she said: "I don’t want to talk about Joey anymore, unless the annulment is done."

Meanwhile, Rep. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III (LP, Tarlac) has appealed to Marquez to stay away from the Mass honoring their late father.

"Sa gate na lang siya. Sobra naman kung pupunta pa siya doon," the congressman said.

Asked what he would do if the mayor does attend, he said: "Tingnan natin kung ano ang mangyayari."

The former senator is buried at the Manila Memorial Park along Sucat Road in Parañaque.

‘We still have sex’

Is this a case of sleeping with the enemy?

Actress Alma Moreno told a judge that Marquez still enjoys sex with her even if an annulment case had been filed by her husband of more than 12 years.

Her revelations to Parañaque Judge Helen Ricafort was part of a bid to oppose the suit.

Through her lawyers, Moreno stated in her July 11 response to Marquez’s petition for annulment of marriage that she "never deprived him of my marital obligations," which includes copulation.

"During those visits by Moreno to their conjugal dwelling, Moreno never deprived Marquez of marital consortium, the latest of which occurred on June 30 and July 1," the pleading read.

The actress likewise denied her husband’s claim that family was never her priority. "I have not forgotten my marital and parental responsibilities." Moreno clarified that she and Marquez were only "separated in fact" in January 2001.

These pieces of information were stated in the 10-page opposition which the Office of the Solicitor General filed in Ricafort’s sala.

The former sexy star said Marquez was just "harassing" her by unjustly portraying her as an irresponsible and bad wife. Moreno also denied she has emptied their bank account.

She said a case was filed because of Marquez’s "selfish motives especially in the light of his current and latest love interest." She was referring to TV host Kris Aquino, daughter of former President Aquino, who has a love child by action start Philip Salvador.

"Moreno never stopped loving and supporting Marquez even when she learned that he sired a child with Brenda del Rio during their marriage," Moreno’s lawyers told the Parañaque regional trial court.

Moreno insisted has been a "good, patient and loving wife" to Marquez. She said always been there to support the family even ending her career and to the point of risking her health just to "support his political career." – Rudy Santos, Delon Porcalla, Jess Diaz
