2 Japanese nabbed for stealing P60,000

Operatives of the Western Police District (WPD) arrested two Japanese nationals for allegedly stealing more than P60,000 worth of appliances from their Filipina business partner in Malate, Manila.
Police identified the suspects as Takao Tamami and Kenji Takao, who were positively identified by Angelita E. Santos, 27, of 2475 Topacio St. corner Estrada Street in San Andres Bukid, Manila as the persons who stole some P62,600 worth of "personal valuables."
SPO1 Teofilo Biong, of the WPD-General Assignment Section, said the valuables stolen include three beds, two air-condition units, a water heater, a gas stove, a rice cooker, a refrigerator, and a washing machine.
Santos said she had known the Japanese for a year because Tamami had sent her three shipments of surplus appliances, which she sold in her shop located at 1524-B Pedro Gil Avenue, Manila. Cecille Suerte Felipe
