Man caught with drugs

CEBU, Philippines – A resident in Purok Rambo, Barangay Babag in Lapu-Lapu City was arrested by responding officers of Lapu-Lapu City Police Office Station 3 after being caught allegedly possessing prohibited drugs last Saturday night.

Police Senior Inspector Wilbert Parilla conducted a buy-bust operation in the area around 8:45 in the evening. His team arrested Ruel "Owek" Cabalhug, 27, who was reportedly caught with one small pack of suspected shabu in his hand.

Another eight small packs of the illegal substance were also confiscated from his possession, along with some drug paraphernalia and two pieces of P100 bill which served as marked money of the operation.

Parilla said the suspect is detained in the station's detention cell. Cabalhug will be charged in relation to Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
