Talisay fire dep’t in need of tanker

CEBU, Philippines - The Talisay City Fire Department needs a tanker to efficiently battle huge fires.

Talisay City Fire chief Senior Inspector Randy Mendaros said the tanker can also be used to supply water to mountain barangays as the department did in past years when the dreaded El Niño came to deny the barangays of water.

During the meeting of the City Peace and Order Council (CPOC) last Tuesday, the city fire department urged that the city government to purchase a tanker.

City councilor Danny Caballero, Vice Chairman of CPOC promised to relay the request to Mayor Johnny De los Reyes. (FREEMAN)
