Korean arrested after breaking thru police checkpoint

CEBU, Philippines -  A Korean national was arrested Wednesday evening after his car hit a signboard as it burst through a checkpoint along A. S. Fortuna Street in barangay Banilad, Mandaue City.

Chu Kyoungil, 43, married, also almost hit a policeman as he sped off.

The police gave chase and Chu Kyoungil was arrested at his residence, was taken to the Casuntingan police station, and later to a hospital where he was found to have take in alcohol.

Charges are being readied against him. (FREEMAN)
