JVR at ease with OIC police chief

CEBU, Philippines - Talisay City Mayor Johnny De los Reyes said two police officials, one of them from Talisay City, went to his office last week to apply for the vacant police chief position.

He said he can only make a decision after he receives a list of names of police officials, but clarified he has not requested for names of officials from the police provincial headquarters.

He said he finds nothing wrong with officer-in-charge Superintendent Resty Santos, who was the police chief of Danao City for six months before being ordered to swap places with former TCPS officer-in-charge Superintendent Elmer Lim. (FREEMAN)
