Luigi backs SEC on drive against scams

CEBU, Philippines - Sixth district representative Luis Gabriel Quisumbing supports the campaign of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on its campaign against scams and pyramiding schemes and urged constituents to attend a region-wide information-dissemination program as regards investment scam.

“As part of my constituency services, it is important to educate the public and equip them with knowledge on how to monitor and detect investment scams to avoid falling victim to the likes of Aman Futures Scam in Pagadian,” Quisumbing said.

In addition, Quisumbing thanked the SEC-CEO for initiating the information drive and strongly encouraged residents in the 6th district to attend and participate in the lectures, which will be brought to Mandaue and Consolacion and Cordova towns.

SEC delivered a lecture in Consolacion town last Feb 11 while Cordova is scheduled to have a lecture on Feb 18. Mandaue City will be next. (FREEMAN)
