Alegado wants to transfer vendors

CEBU, Philippines -  Consolacion town Mayor Teresa Alegado has asked for authority from the municipal council to relocate stall owners, who do business in front of the old sports complex, for the reason that a new municipal hall building will be constructed in the area.

The proposed five-story building will house different offices, and the old municipal hall building will be converted into a museum.

Alegado told the members of the municipal council she needs an authority to enter into a memorandum of agreement with the stall owners.

These stall owners have been in the area since the administration of former town mayor Avelino Gungob, Sr.  (FREEMAN)
