CEBU, Philippines - An allegedly angry man who struck the house of a neighbor yesterday dawn in Zone 1 in barangay Buaya, Lapu-Lapu City after hearing that the house owner was spreading rumors about his daughter ended in hospital.
Police said Danilo Ugsang, 55, struck the house of neighbor Mario Leonardo, 55, with a hard object after learning that Leonardo was spreading rumors that his daughter is involved in an illicit affair.
Leonardo came out of the house with a knife and stabbed Ugsang in the abdomen.
Leonardo allegedly attempted to escape but barangay tanods caught up with him and turned him over to the police. Ugsang was immediately taken to the Lapu-Lapu District Hospital and later transferred to a hospital in Cebu City. (FREEMAN)
