Trees, grass must go

CEBU, Philippines - In view of the discovery of a murdered woman in a vacant lot in barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza ordered the City Department of Public Services to direct Clean and Green workers to cut trees and tall grass along roads that obscure vacant lots from view.

Mayor Paz Radaza said she has learned that some people dump their garbage in vacant lots.

"Paglikay nga dili magamit kining mga bakante nga luna diha sa atong kabarangayan, ilabi na gayud nga labayan ug basura o ba kaha tawo nga i-salvage. Maayo gyud nga ato kini nga kalimpyohan," Radaza said. – THE FREEMAN
