Woman shot dead

CEBU, Philippines - A decomposing body of a still unidentified woman was found yesterday morning at a grassy area in sitio Puso, barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City with a gunshot wound on the head.

The body was taken to a local funeral parlor in Mandaue City.

SPO3 Jesus Jimenea of the Crimes Against Persons Desk said one Roberto Orat, 53, a resident of the place discovered the body when he was about to answer the call of nature.

Jimenea said a group of young men had heard a gunshot at around 11 p.m. of June 19.

The young men did not mind the gunshot and continued with their drinking, Jimenea said. – THE FREEMAN
