Welder electrocuted

CEBU, Philippines - A welder was electrocuted inside a house that was being put up at Aldea Homes in barangay Kalawisan, Lapu-Lapu City Friday afternoon.

Ritchel Mejia, 33, of barangay Lutac, Naga City was working at around 5 pm that day when he accidentally touched a live wire and yelled at his uncle Danilo Paradero to put off the circuit breaker.

But he failed to do so because the welding machine exploded.

Mejia sustained burns in the different parts of his body and was brought to the Mactan District Hospital where he was declared dead.
