Fire hits 2-story house in Liloan

CEBU, Philippines - Fire destroyed a two-story residential house, owned by a 54-year-old woman, yesterday in Poblacion, Liloan town leaving her and her grandchild with first degree wounds.

Susan Noval, 54, of Mabini Street, sustained first degree burns on her back while her grandchild, Harod Noval, 9, suffered first degree burns on his feet.

Meanwhile, firefighter SO3 Rolando Catoy, 52, was injured while fighting the fire.

According to SO1 Eustaquio Jonas, the damage to property was placed at P100,000. 

He said the fire started at about 4:35 in the morning and put out three minutes later. – (FREEMAN)
