Tanod shot dead

CEBU, Philippines - A barangay tanod in Tubod, Sibonga town was shot dead while on his way home last Friday afternoon.
Nestor Blanco, 37, sustained a single gunshot wound in his dead.
According to PO3 Franklin Gako of Sibonga Police Station, Blanco was walking after serving at the barangay hall when an unidentified person appeared and shot him in the head.
The crime happened in a secluded uphill area of the village. Gako said Blanco was not at odds with anyone from work or his neighbors thereby erasing the theory that he had a prior run-in with his killer. (FREEMAN)
