You'll love these little calendar girls

MANILA, Philippines - After 12 months of searching, the grand winner of Starmall’s Little Miss Calendar Girls 2011 was finally proclaimed at the jampacked event hub of Starmall Las Piñas last Jan. 28. True to her name, 10-year-old Queencie Guevarra, Miss May, from Alabang, Muntinlupa City, bested 13 other finalists and was crowned queen.

Taking the 1st runner-up spot was Shaina Rae Sanguyo, Miss July, from Cabuyao, Laguna, while Mary Marghie Manalo, Miss January, from Lipa City, Batangas was named 2nd runner-up.

Guevarra was also named Little Miss Daniel’s Corner, while Sanguyo bagged the Best in Sports Wear and Best in Talent awards. Manalo also won the Best in Long Gown and Little Miss Friendship awards.

 Winners of the special awards were Zyrinne Patriz Pagcaliwangan, Little Miss Fashion Exchange; Sophia Valderrama, Little Miss HBC & People’s Choice awardee; Chloe Kirsten Balea, Little Miss Zagu; and Fatma Jelfa Tariao, Little Miss Finds Department Store. 

The winners of the 2011 edition of Little Miss Calendar Girls were judged by Melvin Tagulao, from Viva Artist Development Center; beauty titlist Brenna Gamboa; magazine editor Rene Bisquera; Germany-based Filipino designer Joyce Peñas Pilarsky; and Outstanding Filipino-Canadian and pageant organizer, Ronaldo Trono.

Little Miss Calendar Girls is a flagship event of Starmall, the newest family destination, with branches in Las Piñas, EDSA-Shaw, and Alabang. It was co-presented by Merly’s Flower Shop, Security Bank, Elinon Karate Academy, Finds Department Store, My Spa Fitness, Silverstar 3D Cinema, Owtel, Zagu, Fashion Exchange, HBC, Daniel’s Corner, Smiles R Us, Garfield, Starland Theme Park, and The Garden Resort.
