Horoscope

October 10, 2004

- Joyce Jillson -
The Virgo moon may trigger a chain reaction – perhaps something that was unfinished or unexplained last month can now be wrapped up in a neat little package. Clear the surfaces of your life (and while you’re at it, scrub them down!) to see what still needs doing. When bills, errands and filing are finished, an "ah-ha" moment will come.

ARIES (March 21-April 19).
Being objective in love is nearly impossible. Tell your thoughts to someone trustworthy, and see what this person comes back with. Having a sounding board is invaluable. Experienced people have much to offer you.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Group goals are attained before personal ones – work on being as accountable to yourself as you are to others. Your style attracts a quality partner, but of course, your sexiest quality is sheer determination.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
Loved ones are more generous when you make demands or at least talk openly about your ambitions. Taking emotional risks brings good results. Old disagreements are resolved by sunset.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
Expansive energies are working in your favor. You have earned your right to the very best, so let yourself have it. Do not expect romance to follow a formula. Be flexible, and eventually, you get your way.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
Your exceptional observational skills give you an edge. An alluring new person could distract you from your main focus – and it’s so much more fun! Keep spending to a minimum. You’ve got nothing to prove.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (October 10).
Your plans come together! Over the next two months, you’ve got outstanding energy and will do twice the work load that you normally can handle. For this reason, you’re promoted and paid quite well. Love with a Cancer or Aries happens at the beginning of the year. Make a decision in March about where to live – new locations are fabulously lucky. Your lucky numbers are: 6, 34, 20, 45 and 11.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
You’re hot on the social scene, and you don’t even have to try! Being around family is like hanging out with a mirror. Use what you’re learning to decide which habits to keep and which to lose.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23).
You crave the unobtainable. Just be careful not to choose a target solely based on the fact that it looks impossible to hit. Your quest to save money is on track. The key changes you’ve made have become habits.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
Keep dreaming about where you want to be. Then, you can work backward to construct a framework for accomplishment. Being in front of people is featured. You’ll be nervous but will do very well.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
The check really is in the mail, but it’s going to take an extra couple of days to reach you. In the meantime, make a definite financial plan. Consider upcoming travel in your decision.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
You’re the victor in competitions. Rely on your network. If you need to make a few social phone calls in order to get things done, by all means, get on the phone. Friends would love to help.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
There’s something that you just can’t get off your mind. Take a break from worry – even if it means you have to distract yourself. Some time socializing out on the town is just what you need.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Time wasters abound. You’d be wise to unplug the computer (step away from the Internet) for the afternoon. Couples: Time apart, however unappealing that sounds, gives perspective on your wonderful relationship.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD:
This year, the sun leaves Libra early – on Sept. 22 – so this is the last full week of the solar transit through Libra. With Mercury, Mars and Jupiter all enjoying Libra’s lovely estate, the cosmos sings in harmony. Libra is a unifying influence, the energy of which reminds me of a concert arena filled with audience members who sway, trance-like, to their favorite ballad, lighters upheld – or, as the tradition has evolved, cell phones upheld. Either way, there is a one-for-all-and-all-for-one feeling during the Libra solar transit. At the very least, most people are open to asking, accepting or offering help. Why try and do it all yourself when there’s bound to be a person out there who can do it 10 times faster, better and more efficiently? It’s also a time when we figure out what our talents are, not by consciously developing them but by noting what people ask of us. The Virgo moon kicks off the week, and nobody is afraid of a little busywork. The details handled in the next 48 hours will make the rest of the week’s work easier. Wednesday brings the new moon, a perfect time to start a relationship or project. On Friday, Mercury leaves the Libra planetary party and slips into Scorpio.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Watch out, Tiger Woods, there’s a new golf wunderkind on her way up! Hawaiian golfer Michelle Wie played in the LPGA tournament when she was only 12 years old, and after her performance in this year’s PGA Tour Sony Open, even the skeptical analysts are convinced that she’s got what it takes to be a contender. Libra athletes are not nearly as competitive with others as with their own best score.
