Horoscope

April 15, 2001

- Joyce Jillson -
As tax day approaches, the sun, in a power position with Mars (the symbol of the aggressive tax collector), protects many last-minute tax filers from making errors or costly miscalculations. In home matters and repairs, new construction and garage sales will all be financially lucky. Trial living arrangements in a new location will prove to be a success.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. Careful attention to your home will save limitless time and money later. A sudden decision is likely to lock itself into a long-term consequence, so think before taking action. An individual’s effort to show love may feel smothering to you.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)
. Be careful when operating power tools and when traveling abroad. Look for a chance to make your point with one whose support you need. Rumors will reach your ears before the actual facts to. This time, the rumors are true.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
. Sources of income will reveal themselves in odd corners of your life, and an older person may offer a big moneymaking opportunity. You’re reminded of the values you were taught during your childhood years. Stress their importance now.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
Your special sense of humor will lead the way for others who strive to acquire the wit that you naturally possess. Release old obsessions, and you’ll receive unexpected benefits. Make your home-security system more foolproof.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
. Sometimes the smartest thing to do is nothing. Selling some of your old home furnishings will generate enough money to buy yourself new appliances. Don’t settle for less when it comes to improving your career. An old secret will be exposed.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (April 15)
. You’re determined and better able to follow a project through to the end. A very important project is in the works right now. In fact, the whole year ahead is shaped by a few key choices that you’ll make within the next six weeks. A friendly relationship will very soon turn into a romance. The summer will bring a relationship of extreme depth and power. Your lucky numbers are: 1, 5, 7, 13 and 21.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
. Deploy healing skills in a group by voicing positive criticism. You see that others cannot, but gently give them the truth. Rest up tonight, because the week ahead calls for making a big decision. Another Virgo is involved.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23)
. The temptation to be cynical is hazardous. It seems like a small thing, but positive thoughts that reflect your highest values are key in overcoming adversities in your present situation. A Gemini is a beneficial influence and a lot of fun, too.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21)
. Despite your efforts to get along with everyone, demands from near and far are wearing you down. In romance, it may be time to meet your partner’s family. You’ll be cheered on by your friends and new acquaintances.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
You’re all charged up and have plenty of places to go. The great outdoors is in need of your company, and adventure will find you, even if you stay indoors. Don’t forget to let loved ones know you’re leaving. Keep them posted.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
. You are being pulled in different directions regarding your priorities at work. The purchase of a home or other large undertaking may be on your agenda. Relax and get as much rest as possible. Expert advice will help.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
. A connection between the past and present is very clear and magic-inspiring. You’ll receive a paycheck for loyalty you gave freely. Make a wish! Affirming your heart’s desires will keep you balanced; and besides, angels may be listening.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Be proud of the improvements you’ve made in areas that were difficult for you. Treat yourself to a short getaway. Luck is waiting in new places. You may be introduced by a family member to someone very attractive. You’ll hit it off!

FORECAST OF THE WEEK AHEAD:
Off we go into the spring months with the eternal optimism of the fool. We’re experiencing the consequences of past actions, positive and negative. The world is balancing itself. It’ll be upright in the end, but, for now, we may feel almost dizzy from the swiftness of radical change. For the most part, events are already in writing, and it’s just a matter of carrying them out in real time and space. Monday and Tuesday will provide a little respite, wherein we feel more confident of our ability to overcome our obstacles. Wednesday will bring a burst of creative energy and inspiration – one of the best days of the year so far. Thursday, a secret will be revealed, causing a scandal regarding love and financial matters in the life of a prominent public figure. Friday is normally the clock-watching workday, but we’ll find ourselves working overtime, cleaning, filing and taking care of tedious tasks we usually put off for the following week. The weekend is full of caring gestures. Hospital visitors will carry in big bundles of flowers to their ill loved ones. Read to your children, call on the elderly person you seldom have time for, and stay to lift heavy burdens from their shoulders. Giving is the most satisfying activity for us all.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Will late night talk show host David Letterman never settle down and get married? Yes. Many Aries bachelors who don’t marry in their 20s wait a long time before making a marital commitment. A good example is Aries actor Warren Beatty. But when the Aries male says, "I do," he is easily domesticated, turning into an exemplary husband. David may tie the knot in late 2001, but he’ll keep it a big secret, continuing to guard his private life as he has done throughout his career.
