Batch 2013 extends unbeaten streak to five games in SHAABAA cage wars

CEBU, Philippines —  The Nest Workspaces Batch 2013 annihilated the Insular Square Batch 2005, 104-71, for its fifth straight win in the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) Season 29 at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles Arena in Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.

Fletcher Galvez spearheaded another balanced offensive performance by Batch 2013 with 19 points, six rebounds, and two assists.

Jorine Cercado added 17 points, two rebounds and three assists while Emman Malazarte chipped in 15 points, three rebounds, two assists and five steals as Batch 2013 tightened its hold of the solo leadership in Division B  with an immaculate 5-0 record.

Jacob Lee finished with 13 points and eight rebounds for Batch 2013, which led at one point by 40 points, 104-64, in the closing seconds of the lopsided contest.

In the other Division B games, the defending champion Harley Davidson Batch 2012 and ‘04 For The Win Batch 2004 both improved to 4-1 after downing separate rivals.

Dave Wilson Yu chalked up a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds with three assists and two steals while

Aaron Baldwin Sing contributed 15 points, two rebounds, and two assists as Batch 2012 spanked Batch 2006, 64-55.

Kylle Valmoria sizzled with 28 points, six rebounds, five assists and one steal while Franco Augusto Te tossed in 21 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, five steals and two blocks to power Batch 2004 to a 100-76 rout of Batch 2008.

Christopher Consunji and Jedd Ryan Go also made their presence felt for Batch 2004 with 25 points in between them.

In Division A, Batch 2002 barged into the win column after getting past 2K Cares, 66-57.

Edmund Gaisano dished out 28 points, five rebounds and two assists while Ryan Li poured 11 points, three rebounds, four assists and three steals to help Batch 2002 snap its three-game jinx.
