MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has issued proclamations declaring special non-working days in various parts of the country, mostly commemorating founding anniversaries and local festivals.
The proclamations were signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin by the authority of President Marcos.
Proclamation 402, signed on Nov. 16, declared Nov. 20, a Monday, a special non-working day in the municipality of Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental to mark its founding anniversary and the Huba-Huba Color Festival.
Proclamation 401 was also signed on Nov. 16, declaring Nov. 25, a Saturday, a special non-working day in the town of Aurora in Zamboanga del Sur for the celebration of the Badak Festival or the 80th Adlaw sa Aurora.
Meanwhile, Proclamation 400, signed on Nov. 10, declared Nov. 23, a Thursday, a special non-working day in Angono, Rizal for the celebration of the Higantes Festival.
Proclamation 399, on the other hand, declared Nov. 17, a Friday, a special non-working day in Aroroy, Masbate to mark its founding anniversary. The proclamation was likewise signed on Nov. 10.
Proclamation 398, which was also signed on Nov. 10, declared Nov. 17 a non-working day in Santa Barbara, Iloilo to commemorate the anniversary of the Cry of Santa Barbara.
Proclamation 395, signed on Nov. 8, declared Dec. 18, a Monday, a special non-working day in Tuguegarao, Cagayan to mark the celebration of its 24th Charter Anniversary.
