Isko Moreno appointed Social Welfare undersecretary

MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed former Manila City Vicy Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso as an undersecretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Duterte signed the appointment paper Tuesday but it was only released to media Wednesday.

Last October 2017, Domagoso quit his post as chairman and chief executive officer of North Luzon Railways Corp., citing personal reasons. He was appointed to Northrail in July of that year.

Domagoso was a senatorial candidate in the 2016 national elections and was vice mayor of Manila from 2007 to 2016.

Aside from Domagoso, the president also appointed Poro Point Management Corp. Chairman Sherwin Rigor as Environment undersecretary, Ayala Corp. Head of Public Policy and Associate Director Antonio Joselito Lambino II as Finance assistant secretary and Gerard Camiña as a member of Bases Conversion and Development Authority board of directors.
