Misuari sMoro National Liberation Front (MNLF) founding chairman Nur Misuari yesterday accused Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief Jessie Dellosa of “war mongering” when he said that the military is ready to “crush” MNLF rebellion to preserve the framework agreement forged with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).aid the statement attributed to Dellosa is a “provocation of war against the Bangsamoro People.”

“Why provoke the MNLF, we are living in peace?” he said.

Dellosa was quoted in media reports as saying that the AFP is ready to fight Misuari’s group to preserve the gains achieved by the government and the MILF.

Misuari said Dellosa’s statement is like the proverbial sword of Damocles that will hit them anytime.

Misuari, however, ruled out the resumption of hostilities, saying the MNLF has already ruled out war as an option as this will alienate them before the international community, particularly the United Nations and the 57-nation Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
