Radcliffe stars in Horns

MANILA, Philippines - Horns, written by best-selling author Joe Hill (Heart-Shaped Box), was met with such enthusiasm upon its release back in 2010. New York Journal of Books called it ‘a well wrought tale with intellectual merit... entertaining and challenging readers to think as well.’ Bookreporter.com praised it for being ‘filled with thrills and chills.’ Hill, who could no longer stop the public from knowing that he is the older son of the Stephen King, has been hailed by Washington Post as ‘a major player in 21st century fantastic fiction’ and Time Magazine evaluated that ‘on the strength of two masterly thrillers — Heart Shaped-Box and Horns — Hill has emerged as one of America’s finest horror writers.’

Finally, the dark fantasy novel/crime fiction is brought to the big screen with no less than Daniel Radcliffe (photo) to star as Ig Perrish, the bereaved boyfriend. Although it cannot be helped that the boy wizard Harry Potter will always be attached to his name, Radcliffe has proven many times that he can play any role effectively, whether in movies or on stage. He describes his role in Horns as ‘a good person who has something inexplicable and terrifying happen to him.’

Directed by Alexander Aja, Horns is now showing, from MVP Entertainment Philippines and VIVA International Pictures.
