Tech Mahindra goes 2-0 in CSCC E-Leagues

CEBU, Philippines — The Tech Mahindra Tech Mighties eased through their second straight win at the expense of the Iplou Barracudas, 54-48, in the EVO League of the Tanduay Athletics CSCC E-Leagues for Basketball Season 15 at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Robert Rebano finished with 12 points for the Tech Mighties, who opened their campaign with a 75-47 rout of the Medspecialized Unicorns last Saturday.

The Unicorns, on the other hand, quickly bounced back from their loss to the Tech Mighties by crushing the Demand Science Paladins, 62-52.

Marvin Agruda showed the way for the Unicorns with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Ivan Dommel Yu ably backed him up with 12 points, 12 rebounds, four blocks and three assists.

Alfie Cabriana also made his presence felt for the Unicorns with 14 points, five rebounds and two assists.

In the other game of a featured EVO League triple-header, the Dynata Warriors downed the Shearwater Health Crusaders, 66-55, to readily make up from their disappointing 45-78 loss to the Results Newtown Sparts where they played with only six players.

Tommy Spencer Ugsimar led Dynata’s explosive charge with 32 points laced with eight rebounds, six steals, two blocks and two assists in an all-around show of hardcourt brilliancer.

Jose Carlo Amimita nailed 11 markers, while Rhett Romeo Tomakin, Scott Lawrence Ebolas connived for 12 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks for the Warriors. (FREEMAN)
