Run for Pablo Victims set tomorrow

PR - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Do you want to shed off the pounds you gained during the holidays?  Do you want to help the victims of typhoon Pablo?  If you answer yes to both, then here is an event you should check out – the Run for Pablo Typhoon Victims set this Sunday at the Mactan Export Zone II.

The event will have the 3-K and 6-K categories with assembly time set at 5 a.m. and gun start at 5:30 a.m.

The race director is Joel Baring and the organizers are Joey Guaves, Dante Desuasido, and Mr. Esteller of the Genesis Golf Team.

Originally, it was announced that the race will start and finish inside the air base, but due to security concerns, it was moved to MEZ II in Basak, Lapu-Lapu City.

There are two options to choose when you register.  Pay Php 300, which entitles you to a singlet, race bib, certificate, and refreshments.  Or you can simply donate Php 100, which entitles you only to a race bib, certificate and refreshments.

Aptly dubbed as “Run for their lives,” the organizers will be donating the proceeds of the event to the victims of the deadly storm that hit Mindanao a few weeks ago.

Those interested to join can register at Runnr in Ayala Center Cebu, Toby’s at SM City Cebu, or at the Gaisano Mactan Island Mall.

For inquiries, you can contact 0922-8997758, 0932-4534799 or 0922-8912718.

This is your way to help and spread the cheer this Christmas season to our less fortunate countrymen in Mindanao.  (FREEMAN)
