Red rules Marco Polo Sportsfest

CEBU, Philippines - Team Red bagged the overall championship of the first ever Marco Polo Plaza Cebu Inter-Color Sportsfest over the weekend.

The Reds accumulated a total of 140 points capped by a golden finish in basketball event. They also grabbed the women's badminton and volleyball titles.

The Red squad, which also did well in arm wrestling and fun run, snared the best booth award to earn more points.

Team Green finished at close second with 135 points. They topped the men's singles and mixed doubles of badminton as well as the men's darts.

The Blue players, who dominated the men's volleyball, copped the third place honors with 110 points followed by Yellow with 82.5 points.

The results were relayed to The Freeman by Marco Polo Human Resources Manager Menie Toledo through its sales executive Janice Jacaban-Magsumbol.

Aside from promoting a healthy lifestyle, the said sportsfest also served as a team building activity for the employees of the posh hotel. - THE FREEMAN
