'Moving Planet' night ride set

CEBU, Philippines - Cebuanos from all cycling disciplines will have a night ride tomorrow for the “Moving Planet,” an international environmental campaign against the use of fossil fuels.

Assembly time is at 6:30 pm at the Cebu Business Park ( back of Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion).

Participants will pedal approximately 15 kilometers passing through the major thoroughfares of the Queen City of the South.

Organized by Habagat, a Cebu-based outdoor equipment and outfit manufacturer and provider, in partnership with 350.org, Third World Outdoor (TWO) and Tindak Bisdak Cebu Folding Bike Society (TBCFBS), the event is aimed at promoting bicycles as an alternative mode of transportation.

After the ride, the cyclists will be treated to a free concert and raffle draw at The Outpost in Brgy. Lahug where the ride will end.  (FREEMAN)
