Sugbo Brokers keep lead in SFAA caging

CEBU, Philippines - The Sugbo Customs Brokers of coach Atty. Ben Bongon demolished Scarborough, 100-83, to firm up its grip of the overall lead with a 7-1 win-loss record in the Still Fighting Athletics Association (SFAA) 2010 First Conference basketball tournament at the CEC covered court.

Aided by their searing 30-15 run in the fourth period, the Sugbo Brokers quickly turned a close 70-68 contest into a lopsided match.

Small forward Arnold Fernandez topscored for Sugbo with 18 points followed by Luther Dinela with 17 markers.

Rommel Lamprea fired 33 points for Scarborough, while Rick Misa finished with 18.

In the other game, the TNT-White team skippered by Tony Piloton nipped SWAN-RTW, 55-53, to improve its win-loss to 6-2.

The Warriors defeated Dark Green, 62-58, to even its record to 4-4, while Dark Green stayed at the third spot with a 5-2 slate.
