Cevees start strong in PRISAA National Games

CEBU, Philippines - PRISAA VII opened its campaign in the 2009 Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) National Games with two golds, two silvers, and two bronzes in Naga City yesterday.

Jefferson Querubin heaved the iron ball to a distance of 12.05 meters to dominate the men’s shot put in athletics event. His teammate Francis Beriso got the bronze medal with a distance of 11.69m.

Not to be outdone, the PRISAA VII swimmers fished out a gold and two silvers at the pool.

Zoe Menguito of Dumaguete City swam to a golden finish in the women’s 200m butterfly. She also anchored Central Visayas to a silver medal in the 4 X 50m medley relay alongside Maribeth Ababon,Kruzette Solijon and Gwencent Canada .
