CEBU, Philippines - Heavy traffic may be experienced in the south of Cebu City tomorrow, Sunday, as two barangays will hold their own Sinulog.

“Tungod sa atong closure, advice lang nato atong motorists, commuters, ug ang publiko nga planohon ilang mga lakaw aron dili matanggong sa traffic,” said Cebu City Transportation Office operations chief Jonathan Tumulak.

Because of the celebrations, several roads will be closed in Barangays Basak Pardo and Mambaling from noon until evening.

In Basak Pardo, the roads that will be closed are Cabreros to Natalio Bacalso Avenue, the road in Bayanihan Village, Sabellano Street, and Macopa Street.

In Mambaling, the Mambaling Access Road corner C. Padilla, corner of Vestil Street to Calungsod Templete will be closed from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m

“Naa ka sa Mambaling access road, magtan-aw ka sa SM, left side ana ang i-close for the street dancing nila,” Tumulak said.

He said motorists going to the south from the City Hall area cannot use the road but roads in the downtown area will remain open. Motorists can use Vestil Street in going to the south, he said.

At least 30 CCTO personnel will be deployed to assist motorists tomorrow.  (FREEMAN)
