CEBU, Philippines – A minor died while his elder brother was injured after the motorcycle they were riding was rear-ended by a truck Thursday evening in Barangay Poblacion I, Cebu City.

Jhonrey Cinco, 13, of Barangay Poblacion III, was pronounced dead on arrival at Cebu Provincial Hospital in Carcar City while his brother, Renato, 30, is in critical condition because of severe injuries.

The victims were riding a motorcycle driven by Renato on their way to Barili when a truck bumped them past 7 p.m. on Thursday.

The truck driver Alex Saulga, 32, of Cansaga, Consolacion, was immediately taken into police custody after the accident.
