Man dies from electrocuting fish?

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines – A 51-year-old man in Argao town died from the same means that could have given him something to eat.

Investigation revealed that the man, Juan Albaracin Davila, decided to go fishing with his friends at a river in Barangay Ubaub past noon on Sunday.

They agreed to use electricity to catch fish faster and attached a 150-meter electric wire to a source at the house of Jenever Camarillo. It was Davila who brought the other end of the wire to the river bank while his friends waited at Camarillo’s house.

Several hours have passed and Davila did not return, prompting his friends to go after him to the river. There, they saw Davila’s lifeless body floating in the water, his hand still holding the live wire. They unplugged the wire in an attempt to save him but he could no longer be resuscitated. – /JMO (FREEMAN)
