Osmeña ancestral house to get boost
CEBU, Philippines - The CAP Cebu Redevelopment is planning to build a commercial building at the current location of Don Sergio Osmeña’s ancestral house along Osmeña Boulevard.
On December 3, 2013, CAP sent Mayor Michael Rama the development plan, which incorporated the design on the preservation of the historical house.
“The Cap will be pursuing a development at the present property where Don Sergio ancestral house standing. I am thankful na ni-follow sila (CAP) nga i-integrate and dili hilabtan ang ancestral house,†Rama said.
He added that the ancestral house will be part of the development and will add to the upcoming expansions of CAP.
“The ancestral house would be an additional beautiful scenery… the house will remind the Cebuanos on the contributions of Don Sergio Osmeña to Cebu and to the country,†Rama said.
Considering that the ancestral house was built a long time ago, Rama said it should be retrofitted to strengthen its foundation. – (FREEMAN)
