Mandaue spends P2 million for 2 drainage projects
CEBU, Philippines – The Mandaue City government had spent close to P2 million for two major drainage projects in barangay Cabancalan and Looc.
Mandaue City acting City Engineer Greg Omo, in his report, said that in sitio Pilit in barangay Cabancalan a culvert was installed.
Omo said the city spent P800,000 to complete Phase 1.
Phase II of the project is the installation of culverts in sitio Pilit.
The completion of the project, according to Omo will solve the drainage problem at barangay Looc in front of the Land Transportation Office-Mandaue City.
The City Engineering Office is also negotiating with the management of Shemberg in barangay Paknaan.
The drainage in the area passes under the building and it is hard to unclog it.
The city government is negotiating with the owner of Shemberg Marketing to install culverts outside its building. (FREEMAN)
