Stray bullet hits man
CEBU, Philippines - An account executive landed at the Cebu City Medical Center after he was hit by a stray bullet around 2:15 a.m. the other day at Katipunan St., Brgy. Tisa, Cebu City.
The victim was identified as Ionry Asejo, 28 years old, single and a resident of 188 Doña Esperanza in Brgy. Tisa.
Asejo and his girlfriend, Jean Antiquina, were walking along Katipunan St. when they heard three bursts of gunfire from a distance.
A few minutes later, Asejo noticed that his left leg felt numb so he checked it and found that he was hit by a stray bullet.
He immediately went to the Homicide Section of the Cebu City Police Office to report the incident.
Asejo was taken to the CCMC by a miscellaneous team composed of SPO3 Rogelio Cañete, Jr., PO2 Reglyn Pepito, and PO2 Renato Berido.
The police also recovered a slug of .45 caliber from the area where Asejo was hit.
The Homicide Section is still conducting further investigation of the incident. (THE FREEMAN)
