Danao police arrest alleged marijuana pusher
CEBU, Philippines - Police in Danao City seized at least 50 grams of marijuana leaves, more than a hundred marijuana sticks and cash from a suspected drug pusher Thursday afternoon in barangay Looc.
A report reaching Cebu Provincial Police Office said Lou Mamites, 25, jobless, was arrested by elements of Danao City Police Station at his house following a tip from a concerned citizen.
Policemen, led by Supt. Larson Dechino, went to Mamites’ house after receiving the information of the rampant selling of marijuana in the place, and arrested him in the act selling suspected marijuana.
PO3 Dominic Tampus said that Mamites was placed under surveillance for one week prior to his arrest.
Confiscated from Mamites’ possession were a plastic containing crushed dried marijuana leaves weighing approximately 50 grams, 103 marijuana sticks weighing 30 grams and P70 cash believed to be proceeds from his illegal trade.
