The Tech Circuit

Yasunari Ramon Suarez Taguchi - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines – Microsoft recently released "Microsoft Apps" on Google Play. It is a mobile suite that functions as a digital distribution platform for Microsoft's current range of mobile apps for the Android operating system.

The suite features different Microsoft apps - like products that comprise its Office for Mobile suite, various productivity-inclined tools, home launchers and more. It also doubles as an update center for when new versions of Microsoft apps are available.

Tech pundits were quick in issuing different comments on the move, most of them noting that since the app functions as an "app store," Microsoft has actually launched an "app store" in Google Play, which is, for all intents and purposes, an "app and content store" by itself.

Shorn of what's implied by these comments, the suite is functionally efficient as a discovery avenue for Microsoft's offerings for Android. More information about "Microsoft Apps" is available on its Google Play page.

The Beatles' hits now available in various streaming services

The hits of the iconic British band "The Beatles" was recently made available in various streaming services like Apple Music, Google Play Music, Microsoft Groove, Spotify, Rhapsody and Tidal, among others.

Accessible via the platforms' ad-supported versions, the band's original albums (in the case of Google Play Music, all 13 original albums and four Beatles collections) can be listened to by Beatles fans and those who've heard of the band but could never gain access to their collections.

More information about The Beatles tracks is available in the online information channels of the mentioned online streaming services.

Christopher Castillo's "Baybayin Keyboard"

Christopher Castillo's "Baybayin Keyboard" is an alternative keyboard for iOS-driven devices, allowing its users to utilize "Baybayin" - an indigenous writing form of writing in the Philippines.

Released on mid-December, the app is compatible with iOS devices running on iOS 9.1 or higher, and can be used as an alternative keyboard for popular social networks like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Configurable in easy/beginner (Baguhan) or advanced/expert (Dalubhasa) modes, the alternative keyboard app also functions as a learning tool for those who wish to be experts in writing in "Baybayin."
