International Housekeeping Week

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Attention to every little detail matters in an industry where excellence is expected.  And behind the impeccably made beds, fresh towels and gleaming mirrors is a team of unsung heroes who endeavor silently day in and day out to ensure that every guest’s stay at the Cebu City Marriott Hotel (CCMH) is remarkably brilliant.

Working behind the scenes, housekeepers discreetly and cheerfully perform their daily tasks while upholding the highest standards of excellence in making sure each guest room is at par with Marriott International standards. That is why in recognition of their valuable hard work and the critical role they play, CCMH joined the host of over 4,300 Marriott hotels worldwide in celebrating International Housekeeping Week last September 14-18.

Numerous activities were held throughout the week, culminating with a program that allowed the housekeepers to take a load off and party among friends. There were games – and prizes.  Most importantly, camaraderie was strengthened. CCMH Director of Services Harry Dale Seno gave a stirring message and thanked the team.

CCMH General Manager Patrick Carroll also expressed his sincere thanks to the housekeeping associates. Even when their efforts are often left unnoticed, the team’s hard work and dedication and the genuine care they put into their daily routines truly embody the Marriott brand of service excellence and brilliant hosting.
