“The Box of Little Secrets: X” The Launch Party and Sketch Night

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Different artists and art enthusiasts converged at The Chillage on February 21, drawn together by StreetKonect's The Box of Little Secrets: X Launch Party and Sketch Night.

Essentially a compilation of 40 postcard-sized erotic artworks made by ten local visual artists, illustrators, graphic designers and photographers, The Box of Little Secrets: X is the flagship release of the Box of Little Secrets Project - a spin-off of StreetKonect's The Little Secrets series of art exhibitions.

Close to 20 artists took part in the evening's live sketching sessions, which highlighted a total of four models who posed for thirty to forty minutes in between poses and breaks.

DJs Pop Days and Budoy also played mixes and riffs during the occasion, providing music that was fitting for the evening's activities.

As a limited edition art box compilation, The Box of Little Secrets: X features the works of lifestyle photographer Banawe Corvera, installation and performance artist Budoy, watercolor artist Denielle Sea, visual artist Jan Sunday, graphic designer and digital artist Jethro Estimo, visual artist and illustrator Kathryn Layno, illustrator and designer Lucile "Palot" Umali, digital illustrator Neil Quisaba, and artists Nikka Uminga and Russ Ligtas.

As the flagship release of the Box of Little Secrets Project, The Box of Little Secrets: X is available for pre-orders via www.streetkonect.com, with its proceeds intended to support the initiatives and activities of the Artist Support and Alliance Program (ASAP), a program that aims to fund small projects and exhibits for artists, art collectives and other art related special interest groups.

Last year, the group managed to gain the attention of the local art scene in the presentation of its first art exhibit in Qube Gallery at The Persimmon Plus entitled, The Little Secrets.(YRST)
