App-Grade: CCleaner for the ‘droid announced to be on its way

CEBU, Philippines - Piriform, makers of the award winning CCleaner cache content cleanup utility for Windows and Mac OSX systems, recently announced the upcoming availability of CCleaner for the ‘droid.

Announced though the company’s official site, details regarding the actual functions and features of CCleaner for Android are sketchy, with no official release date or roster of features being mentioned in the announcement.

However, the company has acknowledged that the upcoming release of the CCleaner for Android is borne from the number of requests for its development and release.

The company also notes that the app is currently in its final in-house testing phase, soon to be ready for its official release.

Given the original CCleaner’s one-click cache content cleanup features and functions, CCleaner for Android is expected to easily facilitate the chore in manually deleting temporary files and other extraneous data stored in Android tablets and mobiles.
