It's Sunday, 2pm!

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - In this busy world, we cannot answer when is the best time to relax in a week. But according to Korean Seen Yoo, "It's Sunday, 2pm." With a quick recollection, he may be right. It is the only time of the week where we think about nothing, lay back and relax.

Along the road of Pinagdait, Mabolo, nests a cute cafe which Yoo named after the best time to relax in a week,Sunday 2pm. As soon as you enter the doors, the aura of happiness fills you up with the array of colored stick-on papers posted everywhere. The wall clock is pegged at the 2pm position to remind everybody that there is no need to rush, just feel the joy in your well deserved relaxation.

It is not any ordinary cafe. At Sunday 2pm, you are you. They have over a thousand books for you to read. Take them out if you must, but with a minimal fee. If you are not in the mood for books, then maybe movies would make feel better. You may watch movies all day long in this cafe with no charge at all. You may even ask for a title for the movie or author for the book and they'd be happy to get it for you.

Sunday 2pm specializes in Korean pastry and coffee. The sweet indulgence of their Caramel Loving Toast as their best-seller takes you off to a sugary cloud nine. Perfect for every sweet tooth. Their caramel macchiato on a big wine glass is so inviting and its only worth a hundred pesos. They also add whip cream for free if you wish. Every order here is personalized.

Yoo encourages those who come to "unleash the artist within themselves." There are colored pens, pencils and papers on standby. You may draw, color and write whatever you like and post them on whatever part of the cafe.

"The concept is to have a book cafe, but this is more than that," Yoo explained. True enough, the presence of toys for everyone to play makes Sunday 2pm unique from the rest.

The experience is not complete when you do  have your picture taken by the owner himself. Every customer is not missed when it comes to having a sweet memorabilia of this place on polaroid. You may even request him to upload it to their official Facebook page for easy sharing.

Just when you thought there's no time to chill out, Sunday 2pm tells you there's still a lot.
