Rounding Up Summer

Scientists will tell you that this Summer has been the hottest Summer in Philippine history, and we couldn't agree more. With the given obvious that temperature-wise it has been in the highest, levels we were actually talking about the events, trends and some of so sizzling people that made the heat bearable.

The events scene in Cebu have always been dates to remember, but this summer our calendar just filled up with some of the many unforgettable places to be. With the recent conclusion of endless beach parties like Summer Hangover, Sunscream, Shake&Sweat, and the biggest boardwalk party to date LifeDance, there was no reason to feel bored this summer. Zee Lifestyle Magazine's Zee@The Loft : The Tattoo Takeover was highlighted as one of the must-be-seen events of the year with Dj Callum making sure the event lasted till the wee hours of the morning.

When we realize summer is fast approaching, we open up our closets to make room for the newest summer trends to hit the ramp and pages of the magazines. This summer was no exception, with high-low skirts and bustiers trending we could not help but want more. With the debut of Mia Arcenas's Fashion Line it was easy to see what the "It" people will be wearing this summer. What is clothes without the right kind of accessories? Well, SM accessories sure made it double fun, not just with exciting discounts but with prizes for some of its lucky customers. Inspired by the luminous colours of the 4 elements, SM is giving it all to us.

Some of the biggest names have hit the Philippines and some have even landed in the shores of Cebu. From a jaw-dropping concert by the one and only Annebisyosa Concert Queen Curtis in Waterfront to heart melting meet and greet of Penshoppe's newest endorser – the Vampire in all our hearts – Ian Sommerholder. Cebu has conquered Manila as well, with our very own statuesque Nicole Schimdtz winning Binibining Pilipinas International 2012 and newest heart throb ng Bayan Slater Young besting all the other housemates in Pinoy Big Brother.

Yes, sizzling, heat, and hot have been redefined this summer, with everything going on how can we possibly say goodbye to hands down one of the best summers in Cebu? Well we will have to bid adieu for now, and hope that 2013 Summer can top this one. But never fret, we never know what's in store for us this Fall, something Wicked may just be around the corner.
