From Actress to Make-Up Artist

Taking another big step into shaping her career, Kristine (Hermosa) Orille-Sotto, expands one of her biggest passions - make-up!

As learning is one of the things she feels quite passionate about, Kristine chooses to develop her talent and had made it into a business on the side. She recently took up a short course in professional make-up at La Salle College International in Manila. She was able to develop her ability as she entered the world of make-up. Kristine benefited greatly by enjoying her time learning, as well as meeting some very wonderful people.

Having started this passion when she first began her acting career, Kristine knew that she had always wanted to share this wonderful and artistic talent with other individuals to maximize her very own potential. "What inspires me most about make-up is enhancing one's beauty since I have always believed that each of us is a special gift from our heavenly Father," Kristine said.

She agrees that there is no make-up trend and that it is completely up to the individuals to express themselves. "My favorite look is to stay as simple and elegant, as well as fresh looking as possible. Nothing can ever beat that! During the day, I prefer to use a nice powder foundation, ensuring that it is a shade that blends with my complexion. One tip I can give is to use one shade darker than your regular color for better results, most especially during a photo-shoot," she shared. Wearing a cream base or liquid base cheek tint and a nice glossy or non-glossy pinkish/neutral lip color add to a nice finish, too. As a final effect, I always keep the eyebrows neat (with or without shading) as this makes for a more appealing overall image."

But Kristine respects that there are no imperfections as real beauty comes from within. "It is how you carry yourself even on the simplest of days and the confidence in God that makes each and everyone of us beautiful."
