All set for Cebu Goes Culinary 2010

CEBU, Philippines - The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Cebu, Inc. (HRRACI) and Global-link MP Events International Inc. launched Cebu Goes Culinary 2010 with the theme “21st Century Cooking: Balancing Flavors & Sustainability.” The event, slated on July 22 to 24 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, will be held back to back with the Cebu Food Expo 2010.

The Cebu Goes Culinary and the Cebu Food Expo are regarded by the industry as the region’s premier food and hospitality event. The Cebu Goes Culinary is where professionals and students can show their talent and creativity through different competitions while the Cebu Food Expo brings together exhibitors in the Food & Beverage, Bakery Equipment & Ingredients, Confectionery, Packaging and Processing Technology, Franchising & Business Opportunities.

Among the activities to watch out for is the Chef Wars, a regional competition for the chefs in the Visayas. The winners in the competition will represent the region in the Chef Wars national competition to be held in Manila.

There will also be Quest for the Best competitions that will feature Photolicious, a food photography contest open to professional and amateur photographers nationawide; a Menu Writing & Design contest; and a Quiz Bee open to all HRM students.

The events are open to the public. Entrance fee to Cebu Goes Culinary is P100 and P50 for students.
