Queen coronation night

CEBU, Philippines - Pageantry is part of the Philippine set up where there’s one pageant happening in every barangay no matter how small or remote. Following the tradition of prestigious beauty pageants Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss International comes Queen, a pageant for alternatives. Twenty-one lovely and preternatural candidates vie not just for one crown but three – The Queen Universe, Queen World and Queen International.

Queen is not just a pageant. It’s beauty with a purpose! The candidates gave back to society by way of charity events. They participated in a feeding program with the children from The Lady of Divine Grace in Sibonga, and they joined a tree planting and beach combing ceremony (yes, they sweat it out) in Compostela.

Come Saturday October 24, 2009 at 6:00 pm is the coronation night of Queen. Guest stars Jon Avila and Jude Bacalso are the night’s hosts, and a bevy of the country’s personalities are expected to grace the event. Come and witness pageantry at its best as the candidates don the collections of The Clothes for Life designers. Choreographed by Victor Cuenco with over-all direction by Engr. Junjet Primor.

Tickets are at P1,000, 500, 300 and 100 and are available at the ateliers of Cary Santiago, Wendell Qusuido, Edwin Alba, Harley Ruedas, Joy Bernaldez and at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel lobby.
