Romancing the palate at Shangri-La Mactan

Speaking of strawberries, it's a must to try Tides' Signature Drink of the Month: Love At First Blush, a sweet potion of vanilla ice cream and fresh strawberries, sprinkled with cinnamon powder. In Acqua, fire up that feeling with a sumptuous Italian buffet overlooking the infinity pool. Sample the Salmone All' Aneto (fresh marinated salmon with dill) and a bit of Risotto Porcini (rice with wild mushrooms) with Agnello Pizzaiola (oven baked rack of lamb with oregano, tomato, apricot and chickpeas), or Filetto Vald' Aostana (beef fillet with sage, crisp proscuitto, Fontina cheese and baby potatoes). Top off with the dreamiest dessert showcase this side of town: Torta di Noci con Fragole Balsamiche (walnut cake with strawberry balsamic sauce), Torta di Ricotta (cinnamon ricotta cheesecake with chocolate) and Bigne alla Crema di Maraschino (ice cream profiteroles with maraschino liquer crème).

Experience a different level of wining and dining at the Cowrie Cove. Dine al fresco under a canopy of stars in the most romantic spot in the resort or feast in air-conditioned comfort with an amorous set that will leave the two of you starry-eyed. Start with Poached Prawn and tender young greens with roasted pear and mango mustard dressing, then choose from either a Seafood Combination of Grilled Chilean Seabass and Baked Lobster Tail, or Rosemary marinated Grilled US Beef Tenderloin and Tiger Prawns.
